 This locally owned restaurant is located close to NAU and downtown in a small white building with red trim that resembles an ice cream shop, but step inside and let the aroma transport you into this cute little Greek diner with pretty Mediterranean blue walls & blue and white tablecloths. They serve up a variety of traditional Greek foods like Gyros, Saganaki and Souvlaki in a relaxed casual atmosphere. Enjoy a Greek beer or a regional style coffee with your meal. Open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner, this is one of the few late night eateries in Flag on the weekends when it’s open until 3 am. Opah! |

I decided to try Greek Islands after trying another Restaurant in town that left me less than impressed. I had read some negative reviews about Greek Islands but decided to try anyway.
I can honestly say everything I had read was untrue, the portions were very large, I ended up needing a box, the food was very traditional, flavorful and just all around delicious! The people were very nice and hospitable, like you would expect from a local owned business.
As someone who has been eating Greek food since I was 2 or 3 I have to say this is one of the best Greek places I have ever been to. I WILL be returning time and time again.
P.S. Even though some articles and reviews say they take cards, they do not. CASH ONLY! They do however have an ATM if you do need it. Also I would say no big parties, there simply isn't room.
